Welcome to Haruiro, our themed matchamlossom flash reverse bang!Haruiro (春色) is the Japanese word meaning “spring colors”. Our bang has been named as such because it will have an overall theme of “spring” or “springtime” (obviously relating to matchablossom in whichever way you choose how).

What is a reverse bang?
In a regular bang, a writer would submit a summary for a fanfic, and then an artist would claim their favorite pieces and draw art for them.In a reverse bang, an artist will submit a sketch for the event, and then the writers claim their favorite pieces to write a fic for.The sketch previews and claims are anonymous, but once the pairings are announced, you’ll work with each other to create art and fic that go together.Okay, so what do you mean by a ‘flash’ reverse bang?
The ‘flash’ part comes in because we want this to be quicker than normal.If you’ve been in bangs before, or seen them operate, you know they can often take a long time to create for.We understand that sometimes you may not want to sit for months on a piece of work that you’re excited to share, or you may work better under pressure, or sometimes life happens and you can’t or don’t want to commit to a long project.Whatever your situation, if quicker works better for you, then we’re hoping this bang will work for you too!How quick are we talking?
After pairings have been allocated, the creation period will be six weeks minimum, with the option of posting up to nine weeks if you need a little longer. Check out the schedule for more information!There’s a theme for this event? Will I have to stick to that theme?
Essentially, yes. We created the event with a theme for a purpose.There are a lot of SK8/matchablossom events out there that will allow you to create anything you want, but we thought for this specific bang, having a theme would be fun and unique. (Spring also coincides with the posting period, which is nice!)Don’t worry if you are struggling to come up with an idea. It can be literally anything (as long as ‘spring’ is involved in some way), such as important events or moments in matchablossom’s lives that happen at springtime, spring traditions from around the world that they attend, or just all-around spring vibes. (Don’t forget, it’s also Kaoru’s birthday on 27th March!)What kind of content will be allowed?
Any and all content is allowed. As long as it somewhat falls within the parameters of the theme, anything goes!That means SFW, NSFW, dark themes (dead dove: do not eat), and anything in between are all allowed. Each of these will have their own section in the server, so don’t worry about potentially seeing anything that you may not want to. Anything else that could be triggering will be appropriately tagged.All SK8 characters and ships are also welcome in any of the work you create! As long as matchablossom is the main focus, you can feature whoever you want.Are you allowing contributors to sign up as both artist and writer?
Yes, you can sign up as both artist and writer! Provided that you don’t share any information about who the sketches belong to at preview/claim time (to keep it anonymous), if you want to do this — go for it!If we already know who we want to work with, can we join the bang pre-paired up?

RULES
This event is 18+. That doesn’t mean that you’ll have to create 18+ content, only that you have to be 18 or older to join. We’ll be allowing all different kinds of content—SFW, NSFW, and dark themes (dead dove: do not eat)—so we will have this restriction in place for the comfort of all our participants.You’ll need to have Discord to join. Discord is the quickest and easiest way for you to communicate with your partner (super important!) and with the mods (should you need to.) Not only that, it will allow you to meet and chat with other participants, too! The event may have a quick turnaround period, but we want to enjoy yourselves and get to know your fellow fans while you’re here with us.Be kind! Anyone is welcome to join us (provided that you’re over 18, of course), which means that it’s likely there will be a variety of people in our space. We ask that you be kind and courteous to everyone, participant or mod. There will be zero tolerance for hateful conduct (including character/ship hate), harassment, or discrimination of any kind. Anyone displaying any such behavior will be removed from the event. Should you encounter any problems, please contact a mod.
REQUIREMENTS
Below are the requirements we expect our artists and writers to work towards for their final piece.For artists: Your piece should be lineart or a tidied up sketch.
For writers: Your fic should be over 1.5k words.There is no limit on what you want to create, so if you want to create anything further than that, we welcome it! But at minimum, you should meet the above requirements.
